Reason for Conor McGregor "The Notorious" vs Donald Cerrone "Cowboy" UFC 246 Full Card Picks & Odds

McGregor vs Cerrone

Perhaps two of the biggest UFC stars will meet at the Octagon when Conor "Notorious" McGregor returns to Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone on January 18 at UFC 246 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Cowboy is best known for his "fight against anyone, anywhere, anytime" attitude, and holds the records of most of the fighting, endgames, and destruction in UFC history.

McGregor was the first "Champion Champion" with belts in two different weight classes at the same time and received large numbers for his cross boxing event with Floyd "Money" Mayweather.

Although McGregor has been out for 15 months, the online bookmakers have him as the -325 favorite to beat Cerrone, who returns to +250. This is the first time that McGregor has entered the octagon since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in the fourth round at UFC 229 in October 2018.

Notorious has not won since becoming second division champion with his second round knockout. Victory over Eddie Alvarez in November 2016,

He is a clear favorite (-325) when considering McGregor's profile and amazing abilities and pretending to have won his last few fights. It would seem that this line would be more appropriate if the fight were at an easy level, but with the welterweight the former "Champion Champion" is a little overrated.

Meanwhile, Cowboy (+250) comes from consecutive losses against possibly two of the toughest players in the lightweight class. Cerrone lost to Tony Ferguson in a medical goal in June and was knocked out in the first round against Justin Gaethje in September.

I'm a little surprised that McGregor's cowboy is more helpless than Ferguson or Gaethje, because I think he poses a greater threat to McGregor than the other two.

Furthermore, this fight is welterweight, which in my opinion also gives Cerrone an advantage. The return to the octagon for Conor McGregor was exactly what many fans of the fight were waiting for, and a fan favorite will face him in Donald Cerrone.

Holly Holm vs Raquel Pennington Betting Odds

Holly Holm the former women's bantamweight champion, is back in action for the first time since her knockout loss in the first round against Amanda Nunes in July.

Aiming for a second consecutive loss in "The Preacher's Daughter" is "Rocky" Pennington (+110), who won his first win in almost three years in July against Irene Aldana.

This is a rematch in almost five years after Holm won a split decision victory over Pennington at UFC 184 in February 2015.

Aleksei Oleinik vs Maurice Greene Betting Odds

Oleinik is a veteran of sports and makes his 62nd march a cage. He holds a 57-13-1 record, with 45 of these wins coming from submission. The nickname "Boa Constrictor" is not without reason, because the native Russian has elite submission skills and a ridiculous grip strength that comes into play when he presses his Ezekiel throttle on his enemies.

Approaching Greene poses a real danger because Crochet Boss has exceptional boxing skills and a strong indirect right. In addition, Greene is not concerned that many concerns will be addressed as three of his four submission wins were achieved through triangular strangulation.
