Preview

Daniil Medvedev vs Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction, Betting Tips and Props of the Match for the Men's Australian Open Game on Friday February 19th, 2021 Melbourne, Australia.

Stefanos Tsitsipas surprised Rafael Nadal in their quarter-final clash, despite losing the first two sets.

Rafael Nadal missed several chances in the third set tiebreaker to seal his place in the semifinals, but allowed Tsitsipas to return to the match and take him to the semifinals of the Australian Open.

Tsitsipas began to play with more conviction towards the end of the match and finally closed the decisive 7-5.

He will now try to be in the grand final, but first he will have to fight World No. 4 Daniil Medvedev, who is looking to reach his second Grand Slam final.

Medvedev is coming off of defeating Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals 7-5, 6-3, 6-2, extending his winning streak to 19 games.

Prediction and Picks

Stefanos Tsitsipas has changed and improved a few things in his game this week in Melbourne, mixing his game more often on his backhand with cuts and blocks. The Greek has also been impressive in returning service when he has imported.

In his match against Nadal, Tsitsipas won 40% and 33% of his return points in the fourth and fifth sets respectively.

The World No. 4 was pushed a bit off his serve in the first set against Andrey Rublev, but picked up the pace as the match progressed.

Medvedev won 92% of his first serve points in the third set, firmly establishing his superiority in that department.

Tsitsipas has a great forehand, a shot that he will have to be in his prime to counter Medvedev's flat shot.

The Greek player has struggled with his backhand on the line throughout the tournament, which could give Medvedev an advantage on longer exchanges.

The Russian has one of the best two-handed backhand in the world, while he also boasts of a return of serve.

WINNER: Daniil Medvedev @ -230
