ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament will be held from February 22 to 28.

Dutch Titlist Due In Rotterdam

The first edition of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, held in 1974, was won by Dutch tennis ace Tom Okker.

Tennis fans in The Netherlands had to wait until 1995 for another Dutchman, Richard Krajicek, to title at the indoor hard-court event.

Winners in the intervening years have included illustrious players, such as Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, Björn Borg, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg.

Since then, stars, such as Roger Federer, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Lleyton Hewitt and Andy Murray, have all lifted the trophy.

Australian Open runner-up Daniil Medvedev and second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas lead the field at the 2021 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, in the absence of defending champion Gael Monfils. Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka will participate in the tournament.

Daniil Medvedev vs Alexander Zverev can meet in a possible semi-final Daniil Medvedev has had a difficult draw and is ready to be tested at almost every stage.

Another interesting battle would be between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alex de Miñaur. Assuming both men make it through their respective opening round matches, they could set up an attractive round of 16 match between them.

Alexander Zverev has a relatively easy first round, but don't be overconfident because if he passes the first round he will face the winner of the match Tommy Paul vs. Lorezno Sonego.

Roberto Bautista Agut would wait for Zverev in the last eight. But the Spaniard, who seems to have found his rhythm at the Montpellier event this week, will first have to fend off the wily Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and the great Reilly Opelka.
