Toronto (12W-3L-5D) enjoyed a nine-game unbeaten streak with a 5-0 loss to Union at Subaru Park on Saturday.

In a clash for first place, a slim Toronto FC was still second-best Saturday night and despite a series of injuries that forced Greg Vanney to plug the holes, the coach was looking for no excuses for his play. post-match press conference after a major defeat.

They have now been expelled from the Union by the Shield. Toronto's injury problems doubled heading into this game. Pablo Piatti missed the weekend with a calf problem and it is not clear whether he will return here or not.

Senior players like Altidore, Bono, Mavinga and Osorio are all here again. Zavaleta and young star Akinola doubt their own injury woes. The full rear of the Auro lacks suspension here.
