Carlo Ancelotti is overseeing his first competitive match at the helm of Real Madrid as new La Liga campaigns kick off this weekend, and Los Blancos will face Alavés in an entertaining match at Mendizorroza.

Ancelotti guided the club to success in the UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey during his previous tenure that ended six years ago, but the main goal this time will be to regain the La Liga title that the whites loaned to Atlético de Madrid. finished.

The exceptional David Alaba has been hired to replace the irrepressible Sergio Ramos in an otherwise uneventful summer for Real on the transfer front, although the club is expected to finalize the sale of Raphael Varane to Manchester United in the coming days.

The changes mean it could take the Whites a few weeks to acclimatize on defense, and while they should have too much quality for Alavés this weekend, Ancelotti's are eager to concede Mendizorroza as they have on their two previous visits.

The Whites have won 12 and lost just one of their 19 road trips last season, despite conceding five of their last eight, while Alavés have touched the net in each of their last six home games.

All in all, a Real Madrid win and both teams to score are very attractive for this match on Day 1 and the inclusion of an Alavés goal dramatically improves Los Blancos' chances in the 1X2 market.

However, the away team should emerge as a fairly comfortable winner, so we're also expecting a decent score of 1-3 for Saturday's late start in the Basque Country.
