After 12 races of the 2021 season, the NASCAR Cup Series will head north to take on the "Monster Mile" at Dover International Speedway on Sunday afternoon at Drydene 400. We may begin to see a potential champion emerge, although we have also thought about last year with Kevin Harvick.

#19 Martin Truex Jr. $320 will start the Cup race Sunday at Dover from pole position. Dover is Truex's home track and in the last 6 Cup Series races at Monster Mile, it has 5 top-5 rankings, including a win in May 2019. In both Cup Series races at Dover In 2020, Martin finished second in every race. After a commanding performance 1 week ago at Darlington in the 750 horsepower package, he is counting on Truex to seize first position on the starting track at Dover on Sunday.

#5 Kyle Larson $450 will start from fourth for the Series Cup race on Sunday at Dover. Larson got a little closer to Truex at Darlington last Sunday, putting all of his effort into the final 20 laps to finish second. In the last round of 4 Cups at Dover, Larson finished 3 in the top 5, including a win in October 2019. Larson has the third best driver ranking of 104.8 in the 4 Cup races mentioned at Dover. Kyle is very talented on the steep slopes of the Cup circuit, he has also raced very well at Bristol. Look for Kyle and his team in Sunday's fight.

#11 Denny Hamlin $600 has yet to win a race this year, Hamlin has been the most consistent driver yet, which is why he still leads the NASCAR Cup standings. Hamlin has a staggering 9 top-5 of 12 races this season, so he certainly has a feeling his first win of the year will come sooner or later. Hamlin won one of two races at Dover last season, so it may be here that he gets his first win.

#4 Kevin Harvick $650 It's been a slower start to the season for the man who led most of the time last year before reaching the playoffs. Harvick has been a consistent player in the top 10 this season, but his first win proves elusive. Dover is a track he seems to love, so this could be the weekend Harvick makes the move for him. He won there last year, as well as 2018, and has been in the top 5 of 5 of his last 6 races at this track.
