This will be the first of the road races on the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series calendar to be held on Sunday, February 21 at 3:00 p.m. ET, a circuit where drivers will have to do 14 laps and 3.61 miles of Daytona International Speedway.

Chase Elliott +200 is among the favorites to win next Sunday's race. Elliott has always shown his best version of himself on road courses so far in his career. He also finished second in the 2021 Daytona 500 last week. Elliott also had four consecutive road race victories from 2019 to 2020. In eight road race starts, Elliott has posted five victories, six top-fives and seven top-10s. Elliott won the NASCAR Cup Series championship last year after to accumulate five victories in the regular season.

Martín Truex Jr. +550 failed again in his attempt to win his first Daytona 500 after finishing only 25th in the race last Sunday. But we still know that he is one of the best racetrack drivers. In fact, his 4.63 career average on track is the best among all active drivers. Truex has finished seventh or better in six of his last seven road course appearances.

Ryan Blaney +750 is another one of those constant drivers on the track. He has an average finish of 12.38 at those tracks in eight races, notching four top-5s, including his only road-course victory so far in his NASCAR Cup Series career, which was when he beat the Bank of America ROVAL 400 at the Charlotte. Motor Speedway Road Course in 2018.

Chase Briscoe +2800 has his first NASCAR Cup Series appearance. He was chosen by Stewart-Haas Racing as a replacement for Clint Bowyer. Briscoe made his NASCAR Cup Series debut by finishing 19th in the 2021 Daytona 500. The rookie has low expectations, which means he can drive without pressure and put on a good show.

Aric Almirola +5500 has eight road course event appearances in his career, he has managed to have an average finish of 15.5. Of those races, Almirola finished inside the top 10 twice. Almirola also won Bluegreen Vacations Duel 1 at Daytona just days before the 2021 Daytona 500.

Ryan Newman +10000 was involved in a major accident early in the 2021 Daytona 500, which was frustrating, to say the least, for the Team Roush Frenway Racing driver, in 21 road course races Newman has been placed inside out of the top 10 only once with only four top 20s.
