The second Major of the year is approaching, The 103rd PGA Championship will begin this Thursday, May 20. The impressive Kiawah Island Ocean Course is scheduled to host the event for the first time since 2012, when Rory Mcllroy swept the competition and headed for an eight-stroke victory that at the time earned him his second major championship victory.

Here we have the Top 5 players who will have a chance to win the PGA Championship

Rory McIlroy $ 1100 It was classic Rory here in 2012 when he had one of his first two PGA championships and the second of four majors.

He still allowed some of the leaders to catch up, only for McIlroy to show off his talents this weekend.
He can get into his head sometimes, but while he rides, Rory has a murderous mentality.

The victory at Charlotte was the 32-year-old's fifth top-20 in nine PGA Tour starts in 2021.

McIlroy ranks fifth in shots won from the tee (0.751) and he certainly has the length to get around the island of Kiawah. He was good in the sand too, ranking 23rd in bunker saves (58.11%).

Bryson DeChambeau $1400 When the longest field in major championship history is up for grabs this week on Kiawah Island, of course, Bryson DeChambeau will be a favorite.

The fruits of his labor culminated in his first major victory at the 2020 US Open. DeChambeau also won last year's Rocket Mortgage Classic and this year's Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Bay Hill was a long route requiring good driving like the Ocean course this week. You'll have to be careful to avoid all of Pete Dye's evil dangers, but distance from him will make all the difference.

DeChambeau is 2 of 4 making the cut at the PGA. He played the last two weeks in the Championship for Wells Fargo (T-9th) and AT&T Byron Nelson (T-55th). DeChambeau makes his debut on Kiawah Island.

Jon Rahm $ 1400 is one of those who first released it in competition on Kiawah Island. However, at 26 years old, Rahm already owns four PGA Tour titles (five, if you count his unofficial Hero World Challenge victory) and two European Tour titles.
He clearly is the best player in the world without a major.

Nothing is guaranteed in golf, but a big win seems to be on the cards based on his résumé to date. Rahm made the cut in 14 of the top 18, as well as the last six. The former Arizona State has six top-10s, including the T-5 in April at the Masters.

Rahm finished in the top 13 in seven of 10 events in 2021. He calmed down a bit with a missed cut at the Wells Fargo Championship, although he improved to T-34 last week at AT&T Byron Nelson.

Rahm is third on the PGA Tour in strokes won from the tee (0.823) and fourth on the SG exit to the green (1.485).

Justin Thomas $ 1400 did not make the 2012 PGA Championship, but by then there were signs that he was a special talent. He was an Alabama college star who had already cut a PGA Tour event a few years earlier, at the age of 16.

When the PGA Championship came to Kiawah Island, JT won it at Quail Hollow across the border in Charlotte. It's still his only major championship, but it may not be for long.

He has been in the top five players in the world for almost half a decade. Fourteen wins on the PGA Tour will do that for you.

Thomas' second-biggest win of his career this year came at the Players Championship, another Pete Dye course. Thomas enters the ocean course with three top-30s in a row and five cuts in the last six chances.

The Kentuckian has been solid with his irons this season as usual. He is second on the PGA Tour in shots won on approach (1,123). He adds that he's 10th in SG around the green (.417) and it's a tough combination.

Jordan Spieth $ 1400  resurgence has been one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in golf history of 2021.

The former World No. 1 and three-time Major Champion at age 23 nearly broke out of the top 100 for the first time since 2013. His swing was poor. An extraordinary putter during those lean years allowed him to keep making cuts and repairing them.

Spieth has seven top-10s and one T-15 in his last nine starts. The highlight was a victory at the Texas Open for the first time since the 2017 Open Championship.

Spieth won the Masters and US Open in 2015 to accompany his 2017 Open Championship. His career in the majors shows that 27 cuts were made in 32 starts with 11 top 10. Former Texas Longhorn is 6 of 8 in the PGA Championship and has done his last six. Spieth finished second solo at the 2015 PGA at Whistling Straits.
