Miami Dolphins vs Indianapolis Colts Week 10 Football Sports Odds / NFL Free Parlay Picks

The Miami Dolphins (1-7) silenced their critics by pulling off an upset win over the New York Jets as 3.5-point home underdogs last Sunday.

Odds Analysis: Brissett’s injury has definitely impacted the point spread in early betting action, with the line moving down 5 points so far. The total has headed the other way at some sportsbooks, though, hitting 44.5 despite the fact that scoring could be more difficult for the Colts.

Miami Dolphins +11.5

The Dolphins beat the New York Jets in their last game by the score of 26-18 to notch their first win of the season.  Miami quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 24 of 36 passes for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns on the day.

Kalen Ballage, who has rushed for a touchdown in two of his last four contests, is expected to see an expanded role in Miami's 30th-ranked offense after Kenyan Drake was traded to Arizona and fellow running back Mark Walton was suspended four games for violating the NFL conduct and substance abuse policy.

The Dolphins also will have to adjust to the loss of promising rookie wideout Preston Williams, who sustained a season-ending ACL injury against New York. Fellow wideout DeVante Parker has reeled in a touchdown reception in four of his past five games while tight end Mike Gesicki emerged for career-high totals in catches (six) and receiving yards (95) last week.

The Dolphins have usually been able to score only at a clip of 12.9 points a game. The Dolphins have managed to get a total of 220 yards a game in the air and 64 yards a game on the ground. Defensively the Dolphins have given up 32 points per game. The defense for the Dolphins has allowed 261 yards a game in the air and on the ground and 151 yards a game.

Leading the Dolphins offensively is quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who has been pretty good this season with 1,195 passing yards along with eight passing touchdowns. These numbers are even more impressive when one realizes that he did not start every game up to this point. However, he has also been pretty turnover prone as he has already thrown seven interceptions.

Indianapolis Colts -11.5

The Indianapolis Colts enter Sunday’s game coming off of a 26-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers which Adam Vinatieri missed a late field goal that would have given the Colts the lead.  Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett exited the game with an injury after going 4 of 5 for 59 yards.  After Brissett could no longer continue, Brian Hoyer took over under center for Indianapolis and completed 17 of 26 passes for 3 touchdowns and an interception which was returned for a touchdown.

The Colts have managed to thrown for 227 yards a game, but have ran the ball for 130 yards a game. The defense for the Colts has given up 22.1 points a game this year and allowed 247 yards a game in the air and 109 yards a game on the ground.

Although there is a question about the identity of the starting quarterback, running back Marlon Mack likely will see plenty of work as he faces Miami's second-worst run defense in the NFL. Mack has totaled at least 85 yards from scrimmage in three of his last four games and has rushed for a touchdown in three of his last five home contests.

Zach Pascal stepped up with Miami native T.Y. Hilton sidelined with a calf injury, reeling in five catches for a team-best 76 yards against the Steelers while building a rapport with both Brissett and Hoyer. Reich has yet to rule out Hilton, telling reporters that "I don't ever want to count him out until we absolutely have to."
