Derek Carr Las Vegas Raiders
523 PYDS | 4 TDS | 115 RATING

Carr completed 28 of 38 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns in Monday night's 34-24 win over the Saints.

Carr got off to a slow start, but he and the Raiders offense found their rhythm into the second quarter.

The signal-caller built up a streak of completions and was particularly sharp on third downs, with his first two touchdowns coming then.

Carr upped the ante for his third score, tossing a one-yarder on fourth-and-goal to start the second half and give Las Vegas the lead.

Cam Newton New England Patriots
552 PYDS | 1 TDS | 96.8 RATING

Newton completed 30 of 44 pass attempts for 397 yards with one TD and a pick, while adding 11 carries for 47 yards and a pair of rushing scores in Sunday's 35-30 loss to the Seahawks.

After attempting just 19 passes in Week 1's 21-11 win over Miami, the flow of Sunday's game led to a far different approach for Newton and the Patriots in Week 2.

The result was a big fantasy effort for the QB, who fell just short of scoring a game-winning rushing TD on the final play of the contest.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders won their Las Vegas debut on Monday Night Football last week, beating the New Orleans Saints 34-24 behind a solid performance from quarterback Derek Carr.

The outgoing signal shooter threw for 282 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, while running back Josh Jacobs added 88 rushing yards in the victory.

Carr has met several times with Raiders tight end Darren Waller, who caught 12 balls for 103 yards and a touchdown to help Las Vegas improve to 2-0 this year.

After catching 90 passes for 1,145 yards and three touchdowns last season, Waller has become Las Vegas' most reliable weapon in the passing game, even earning praise from Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Belichick told reporters earlier this week that Waller would be a "great challenge" for the Patriots defense after racking up 16 career goals last week against the Saints.

New England Patriots

Belichick suffered his first loss in the post-Tom Brady era last week against the Seattle Seahawks. Cam Newton threw for 397 yards with a touchdown and an interception while adding 47 yards and two more rushing touchdowns in the 35-30 loss.

Newton had a chance to win the game in the closing seconds, but was stopped at the 1-yard line in the latter part of the game.

Julian Edelman finished with eight receptions for 179 yards, while Damiere Byrd and N'Keal Harry added 72 yards each in the loss.

The Patriots were forced to play without running back James White. The veteran running back, who was one of the league's best off-backfield receivers, missed the game to deal with the death of his father, who died in a car accident Sunday.
