Indianapolis Colts -1

The Colts improved to 5-2 on the season following a 15-13 win over the Denver Broncos. Adam Vinatieri booted a 51-yard field goal with just 22 seconds remaining to give the Colts the win. The Colts lead the AFC South by a half game over the Houston Texans.

The Colts did average 23.5 ppg over their first four games, but they have averaged just 21.3 ppg over their last three games. Indy has been led by their ground game which is 11th in the league while their passing game ranks 22nd. Can the Colts keep plodding along with their 4th win in a row? That remains to be seen.

The Indianapolis Colts quarterback knows what it's like to step in for the face of the franchise. He did it for Tom Brady in New England in 2016. He did it again for Andrew Luck when he arrived in Indianapolis two years ago.

Jacoby Brissett has been excellent in the starting role for Indianapolis, racking up 1,590 passing yards and 14 passing touchdowns with only three interceptions through the team’s first seven games. The Colts have also allowed just 95 yards per game rushing on the road, but at 4.8 yards per pop. Overall, they are 26th in yards per attempt allowed at 4.8. Will that haunt them in this game? We shall see.

Pittsburgh Steelers +1

The Steelers fell behind early in the 1st quarter 14-0 and trialed at halftime 14-10.  The Steelers put up 17 points in the second half and kept the Dolphins scoreless, to keep the Dolphins winless on the season.  Mason Rudolph was 20 of 36 for 251 yds, 2 TD's and 1 pick.

James Connor ripped off 145 yds rushing on 23 carries and found the end zone once.  Juju Smith-Schuster hit the 100 yd mark for the game, reeling in 5 catches for 103 yds and a score. The Steelers forced 4 Dolphin turnovers en route to the victory.

Quarterback Mason Rudolph has thrown for 897 yards passing, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. James Connor is the leading rusher with 380 yards and four touchdowns. JuJu Smith-Schuster leads all receivers with 443 yards and three touchdowns. Devin Bush leads Pittsburgh in tackles with 59.

James Conner has struggled some with just 380 yards rushing through seven games, but he did have 145 yards in last week’s win against the Dolphins. The yardage is impressive but that was also against a high-school defense. The most yards that he rushed for in a game this year was 55 yards.
