Reason for Cleveland Browns vs Denver Broncos

Cleveland Browns -4

Cleveland enters this game with a 2-5 record as it lost to New England on the road last week. After preseason expectations of winning the AFC North, the Browns have imploded this season and are already three games behind in the division.

Mayfield energized the long-suffering Cleveland fan base during his promising rookie campaign, but he has regressed in Year 2, completing only 57.6 percent of his passes and throwing twice as many interceptions (12) as touchdowns (six). Second-year running back Nick Chubb has been the team's best offensive player, but he negated his second straight 100-yard performance by losing a pair of fumbles in the loss at New England.

Browns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.

Denver Broncos +4

The Broncos have lost two in a row and six games on the season, but aside from a 30-6 drubbing by the Chiefs, Denver is losing by an average of 4.6 points per game against the likes of Green Bay, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Oakland, and Chicago. Not all world-beaters, but all respectable teams.

Leading the Broncos offensively is quarterback Brandon Allen who will be making his first career start on Sunday. Allen was a sixth-round draft pick back in 2016 and has been on several teams but he will look to showcase his talent with this sudden opportunity.

Joe Flacco leads the Broncos in passing with 1,822 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. The leading rusher for the Broncos is Phillip Lindsay with 492 yards and four touchdowns. Courtland Sutton leads Denver in receiving with 636 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Simmons leads Denver in tackles with 45.

Broncos are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 9. Broncos are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.
