The Knicks have lost eight of their first ten games and their are rumors beginning to swirl about head coach David Fizdale being  fired. On Sunday, New York tailed by 18 points at halftime of an uninspired 108-87 home loss versus Cleveland.

In the loss to the Cavaliers, the Knicks were led by Julius Randle.  Randle recorded 20 points on 6 of 14 shooting.  Randle was the only Knicks starter to finish in double figures.  Allonzo Trier added 13 points on a perfect 5 of 5 shooting off the bench.  The Knicks shot 36% from the floor and 29% from 3-point range. 

The Knicks enter this game 29th in the league in scoring offense with 99.2 points per game on the year. New York is 10th in the league in rebounding with 46.7 boards a night while ranking 28th by dishing out 19.6 assists per contest this year.

The Knicks are 15th in scoring defense by allowing 109.3 points per game this season. Rookie RJ Barrett is third on the team with 15.5 points plus 5.8 rebounds per contest on the year.

Chicago Bulls -5.5

Coming into the season the Chicago Bulls expected to compete for a playoff spot, but they have lost seven of their first ten contests. On Saturday, Chicago was outscored by 18 points during the third quarter of a disappointing 117-94 home loss versus Houston. The Bulls missed 28 of their 32 three-point attempts and shot 38 percent from the field overall.

In the loss to the Rockets, the Bulls were guided by Wendell Carter Jr. with 13 points.  The Bulls led after the first quarter 27 to 20 and then it was all Houston from there.  The Bulls defense struggled in allowing the Rockets to shoot 47%.  The Bulls shot just 37% from the floor.  The Bulls 3-point shooting did not help their cause.

The Bulls are 25th in the league in scoring offense this season with 105.4 points per game. Chicago is 27th in the league in rebounding with 42.4 boards a night while ranking 23rd with 23 assists per contest.

The Bulls are below average defensively as they are 16th by allowing 110 points per contest. Zach LaVine leads the team with 19.5 points per game on the year. Lauri Markkanen (14.9 points, 7.4 rebounds) and Wendell Carter Jr. (12.8 points, 9.5 rebounds) are solid post presences.
