Los Angeles Lakers: facts and current form

Anthony Davis had nine field goal attempts Sunday night. That phrase alone is enough to explain why the Lakers imploded in Game 3.

The star forward of the team who scored more than 32 points in the first two games of the series has just 15 points.

Lakers coach Frank Vogel will cross a cliff if the Lakers continue to return the ball. It's easy to forget that the Lakers ranked 23rd in the league during the season in turnover rate per game.

This problem reared its ugly head again with the Heat digging through their pockets 20 times.

Returning the ball is a surefire way to lose in another stir on Tuesday.

On the defensive side of the field, the Lakers must do a better job of preventing Butler from playing the hero. They have to hope that Heat's hot night at 51.2% from the ground was more of an anomaly than a reality.

Miami Heat: facts and current form

The Heat saw the tally after being sent off the field in the first two games of the series. They had no answers for James and Davis, and they lost Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo in the first game.

Losing 2-0 to the Lakers with two of the team's top three scorers due to injury, Heat coach Eric Spoelstra couldn't have imagined this in his worst nightmare.

The Heat got good news Monday with Adebayo being outclassed to play in Game 4. His presence would be a significant boost to the offense that relied heavily on Butler to be more than a star.

It would also give Spoelstra another elite defensive body to throw at Davis.

Along with Adebayo, the Heat will always need a boost on the bench, which has been led by Kelly Olynyk in this series.

He has scored more than 17 points in back-to-back games and has become one of the unlikely contributors who helped start the engine in a stalled attack against the Heat.
