In the opening game of Saturday's doubles program, New York lost a nine-point lead before defeating Washington by a final score of 11-9. Francisco Lindor's two-point blast made the difference for the Mets (68-67), who have won six straight games.

Right-hander All-Star Taijuan Walker (7-9 3.89 ERA) will take the mound for the Mets in this game. In addition to 134 innings, Walker has struck out 123 batters and has a solid 1.16 WHIP.

The Washington Nationals are six games under 0.500 at home and have fallen to last place in the division standings. In Game 2 of Saturday's doubles program, Lane Thomas and Alcides Escobar hit a home run to lead Washington to a 4-3 home win. SP Josh Rogers (1-0) allowed three runs in five or more innings to secure the victory for the Nationals (56-79).

Right-hander Josiah Gray (0-2 4.73 ERA) will make the eighth start of his major league career. The last time Gray scored for six runs in four innings in a 7-4 home loss to Philadelphia.
